Elderly Health and Support
The Elderly Health and Support Programs focus on ensuring the well-being of the elderly in our community. We provide healthcare services, companionship, and support systems to improve their quality of life. By addressing their health needs and offering a network of care, we aim to enhance their overall well-being and ensure they feel valued and supported.
This program is designed and dedicated to providing a more relaxed retirement for our elderly people rather than the most stressful retirement life they live. In Uganda, our elderly people are isolated and neglected and often dropped in the rural and remote areas. In addition, we tend to make them work from the time they are born to the time they die. They gave birth and raised our parents, raised and looked after us (grandchildren) and we still take our children to be under their custody and care. This makes them strain themselves to try and provide the basic needs that these children, forcing them to be in the garden farming even up to very old age. These situations bring a lot of health complications for them including pressure and permanent back and bone pain.
We are therefore deeming to address this issue and provide a sustainable health condition for our grandparents. We are starting by providing simple basic needs as well as partnering with other institutions to organize healthcare boot camps in various communities. However, our long-termgoal is to construct a well-established elderly center equipped with all the amenities to ease their health needs and retirement. This Elderly Center will accommodate several vital facilities including a well-equipped state-of-the-art specialized medical facility, a well-equipped gym for indoor workouts, yoga, and meditation classes, a playground to facilitate various exercise games as well as a fireplace for meditation and storytelling times.
Our plea is that you join us, partner with us in this program and we walk together on this journey of changing the lives of our grandparents enhancing their overall well-being, and ensuring they feel valued and supported.
