Medical and Dental Care Camp for the Batwa Community
At Apple Hearts Foundation, we are committed to making a real difference in the lives of vulnerable communities. Our current campaign focuses on the Batwa community in Kisoro District, located in Southwestern Uganda. This marginalised group faces numerous health challenges, including limited access to healthcare, high rates of infectious diseases, malnutrition, and mental health issues.
Campaign Overview:
We are organising a 5-day Health Camp in Kisoro District aimed at providing essential healthcare services to vulnerable persons and children, particularly those within the Batwa community. This initiative will address critical health needs, promote health education, and empower the community to improve their overall well-being.
Provide Medical Services:
We will offer free medical consultations, general health check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment for common illnesses to ensure that the most vulnerable receive the care they need.
Health Education:
Through workshops and seminars, we will educate community members on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention, empowering them to take control of their health.
Child Rights Protection:
We will raise awareness about child rights and protection, ensuring that children in the community are safe, healthy, and able to pursue their education.
